  • The bar will be open Wednesday thru Saturday evenings
  • On Wednesday there will be a Happy Hour 5-7:30 pm which includes 2 complimentary cocktails and appetizers.
  • At check in, you will receive a bag with your shirt, bag tags, towel, koozie, etc.
  • For those that check in on Monday or Tuesday - remember to go back to get your package Wednesday afternoon
  • Breakfast is provided starting at 7:00am on Thursday, Friday and Saturday. You are on your own for breakfast on Sunday. The price we are paying is "all-inclusive"

Tournament Playing Format

  • We have 4 teams each consisting of 24 players (2 teams have a "Ghost")
  • Playing format is 2 man - best ball. 24 matches per day.
  • Points are based on front 9 / back 9 / total (all match play)
  • 4 points front / 4 points back / 2 points overall (10 total points)
  • There will also be 4 "Round Robin" matches each day. One player from each team will make up the foursome. They will play 3 six hole matches switching partners with every member of the group. Each sub-match is worth 4 points (12 points total). Holes 1-6:LB+VK vs DD+BB, Holes 7-12:LB+BB vs VK+DD, Holes 13-18: LB+DD vs VK+BB
  • No double digit scores (Max 9 on any hole)
  • Make sure to keep individual scores as well for skins and other gambling purposes

Tournament Team Prizes

  • BB Matches (10 pts) X 20 matches/day X 3 days = 600 points
  • Round Robin(RR) (12 pts) X 4 matches/day X 3 days = 144 points
  • Skins (Calculated daily but paid on 3 days total)
  • Skins are TEAM skins - NOT individual
  • Playing partners skins DO NOT CANCEL each other
  • Payout is roughly 2/3 points and 1/3 skins

Things To Rembember

  • Be sure to be at the course at least 45 minutes before your assigned tee time
  • Bag tags will be given at check-in along with your team shirts
  • The bag guys are tipped by me (part of your $600) so you don't have to do any more
  • Secure the bag tag each day remembering to remove old tags
  • Wear team shirts on Saturday at Rum Pointe
  • No jeans or cut-offs of any kind at the courses. Collared or appropriate golf shirts are required (including practice round courses)
  • Saturday at Rum Pointe there is a meal provided. As your foursome finishes play enjoy burgers, dogs, salads, etc.
  • Make sure that whoever keeps the score card has legible writing.
  • Bring the card into the clubhouse and give it Ricky Cargill or Chap
  • At the end of play on Saturday team awards will be given out so if you are an early group please stick around, or, come back later in the afternoon after your nap.
  • Thur and Friday at Glenriddle we will be playing the Silver tees. Saturday at Rum Pointe the White tees. Check out the scorecards at ruarkgolf.com
  • Age 70 and over have the OPTION of playing one tee up.

Practice Round Informatoin

  • As you arrive at the course form groups of 4. Don't tee off with 2 or 3 as we only have enough tee times based on foursomes.
  • Pay Ron Speice for the greens fees when you see him. The fees are prepaid by him.
  • Wednesday practice round - Apriil 10th. $71 per golfer. This is an awesome course that we have played as part of our tourney but will only be used as a practice course this year. Tee times start at 10:30.
  • The cost of these practice rounds is NOT included in the $600 base cost for the tourney. I will require a check or cash from each participant sometime during the weekend.
  • Give the scorecards to Ron. He will be arranging some sort of blind draw match for the practice rounds -- details TBD
